Expanding existing structures with accessibility needs in mind.
This project is answering the client’s call for a new detached ADU in their rear yard, where their existing garage is currently located. The 1-bed 1- bath ADU features a covered front porch that brings you into an open living room and kitchen space. All spaces were designed with potential future accessibility needs in mind allocating additional space to the bedroom and bathroom. A new detached garage will also be constructed on the site, oriented so that the ADU’s front porch will maintain views of the street.
